Dairy Science is a new specialized field of the BS Agriculture degree offered by the Institute of Agriculture of the Misamis Oriental State College of Agriculture and Technology (MOSCAT). It was approved for implementation in the first semester of School Year 2012-2013 per BOT Res. # 03 s.2012 dated March 15, 2012.
The Technology Field Day (TFD) on organic vegetable seed production conducted on February 15, 2012 at the MOSCAT Center for Lifelong Education showcased simple plant breeding on cucumber, ampalaya, pechay, tomato, eggplant & pepper . This activity was spearheaded by the Research, Development and Extension unit of the Misamis Oriental State College of Agriculture and Technology in collaboration with the Philippine Council for Agriculture and Aquatic Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) and the Northern Mindanao Integrated Agriculture Research Center (NOMIARC).

Thirty of MOSCAT’s stakeholders from eight (8) different agricultural firms in Region 10 participated in the forum that reviewed the proposed new course offerings of the Institute of Agriculture last January 18, 2012.
